Helmsley Hotel Preps for First Big Makeover

The Helmsley Hotel in New York City will undergo its first significant renovation, which will update the lobby, restaurant, and bar, according to USA Today. Jeff Ornstein of J/Brice Design is spearheading the overhaul, the first of its kind in the hotel's 28-year history. He will integrate an 18-foot-tall backlist alabaster wall, stone floors that lead to individual registration desks, Macassar ebony wood chairs, Brentano fabrics, Murano glass chandeliers, and Bisazza mosaic tiles.
