Thanks to an agreement between Mokulele Airlines and Continental Airlines, meeting planners and attendees traveling to Hawaii now have a new option for traveling between islands.
The agreement, which allows passengers traveling to Honolulu on Continental—the world's fifth largest airline—to find and book inter-island flights on Mokulele using Continental's Web site, makes it easier to travel from Honolulu to other Hawaiian destinations, including Kahului, Maui; Kona and Hilo on the Big Island; Lihue, Kauai; and Molokai/Hoolehua, Molokai.
"This agreement makes 'one-stop shopping' possible for those traveling from the mainland to points throughout the islands," Mokulele Airlines CEO Scott Durgin said in a statement. "When booking with Continental, passengers can view Mokulele's inter-island flight schedules and purchase tickets to their final destination in Hawaii in one simple transaction."
Because Continental's and Mokulele's interline agreement also covers checked luggage, Continental's mainland passengers connecting to Mokulele flights in Honolulu will not have to claim and recheck their bags upon transferring.
