Hampton Inn & Suites Debuts at Indianapolis Airport

A new Hampton Inn & Suites hotel has opened in Indianapolis at the new Indianapolis International Airport, where it's the city's closest hotel to the airport. The new hotel has 118 rooms and a 792-square-foot meeting room for up to 58 people.

"There is a lot of buzz and excitement about our new hotel," Jeffrey Brown, CEO of hotel owner Schahet Hotels, said in a statement. "We're in the perfect location. Not only are we the closest hotel to the new Indianapolis Midfield Terminal, we're also the newest. It's the perfect combination."

In addition to meeting space and guest rooms—each of which features a flat-screen LCD TV, as well as free wired and wireless Internet access—the Hampton Inn & Suites Indianapolis Airport features free airport transportation, a two-story atrium lobby with a fireplace, a fitness center, and an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and patio area.

"Hampton Hotels combine quality, service, comfort and plenty of value-added extras, making Hampton the brand of choice in the marketplace today," General Manager L.J. Carter said in a statement. "Providing clean, comfortable rooms and outstanding guest service is a top priority for our hotel staff and one reason we will be highly competitive in our local market."

Schahet Hotels is currently developing a second hotel for Indianapolis International Airport. A Hilton Garden Inn, it's scheduled to open in February 2009.
