The Grand Hyatt New York recently debuted a multi-million dollar renovation of its conference level, including its 12,000 square feet of meeting space and 18 breakout rooms.
"Following the last major renovation of the guestrooms and public spaces in 2011, the makeover of our conference level and meetings space was important in creating a more cohesive design and guest experience throughout the hotel," says John Schafer, Grand Hyatt New York's general manager.
The design of the space features a living room environment, offering a more hospitable feel that complements the existing spaces of the hotel. Unique design elements include a barn door for a conference room and a custom drink case which encourages meetings guests to have a less formal experience. The walls are adorned with artwork and photographs of the adjacent Grand Central Terminal.
"With over 60,000 square feet of unique meeting space, our hotel is a leading New York City meetings hotel, and with this renovation, our facilities now truly match our superior service. We look forward to welcoming both past and future guests," adds Schafer.
The hotel has 1,298 guestrooms, including 43 suites. The suites range in size from 600 to more than 3,500 square feet. The Grand Club provides added luxury offering elevator key access, complimentary breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening hors d'oeuvres.
Restaurants include the Market, a 24-hour gourmet grab and go, and New York Central, a full service kitchen, bar, and lounge.
