The world's newest Four Seasons hotel, the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore, will open on Nov. 20, 2011, in Baltimore's Harbor East neighborhood, just a mile from the Baltimore Convention Center on the city's revitalized waterfront, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced last month.
"This is Baltimore's moment," said General Manager Julien Carralero. "Regular business travelers and city residents already know what a great place it is to live, work and play, and now people from the region and even the rest of the world are taking notice. We’re already booking social and corporate events for this year and next, and locals have anxiously awaited the day we open up the reservations books for our restaurants and spa. International inquiries are also coming in, particularly those with business in the city or plans to visit Johns Hopkins."
The new 18-story hotel will feature 256 guest rooms and over 20,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 5,300-square-foot grand ballroom; a second, smaller ballroom; 10 meeting rooms; and an executive boardroom.
"Within days of putting up our Facebook page, the phone in the catering office at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore began to ring," said Director of Marketing Judith Dumrauf. "Our experienced team is already putting together meetings and social events, even before the carpet has been laid and the paint has dried."
Other planned amenities at the harborside hotel are five onsite restaurants — including a steakhouse from celebrity chef Michael Mina — a 10,000-square-foot spa, a 2,000-square-foot fitness center and two swimming pools, including a year-round heated infinity pool that "virtually spills into the harbor," according to the hotel.
