Four-Diamond Hotel Joins Ameristar Casino in Black Hawk, Colo.

Colorado's Ameristar Casino Black Hawk has added a $235 million luxury hotel and spa. The 33-story, four-diamond hotel tower features 536 guest rooms, 64 suites and over 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

"Ameristar remains very enthusiastic about Black Hawk," Ameristar CEO Gordon Kanofsky said in a statement. "Our $235 million investment in this expansion will generate more local economic development by attracting guests who would be spending their leisure dollars elsewhere. We look forward to introducing Ameristar's exceptional guest service, gaming, luxury amenities, and food and beverage offerings to an even broader range of guests."

The tallest structure between Denver and Salt Lake City, the new Las Vegas-style gaming hotel offers a 5,000-square-foot ballroom for meetings and conventions that can seat up to 400 guests for banquets and 500 for cocktail receptions. Groups seeking outdoor space might consider the new hotel's swimming pool, which is located along with indoor and outdoor whirlpool spas on an open-air heated patio on the hotel's roof. The pool level includes a movable glass wall to enclose the pool during winter months while preserving the panoramic mountain views.

Ameristar's full-service ARA day spa features six treatment rooms, hot tubs, and sauna and steam rooms. A fitness center rounds out the property's new offerings, which complement pre-existing amenities like the 55,000-suare-foot casino, Black Hawk's largest parking garage and three on-site restaurants.
