This spring, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas will emerge from a $750 million expansion with 75,000 square feet of new meeting space, it recently announced.
Work on the expansion began in 2007 and will wrap in April, at which point the Las Vegas resort will have a total of 82,000 square feet of flexible meeting space for groups of up to 4,000 attendees. All in all, the hotel will have 40 meeting rooms, including a 15,720-square-foot ballroom and a 10,200-square-foot junior ballroom, not to mention The Joint, the resort's new 62,000-square-foot concert venue.
"The expansion of the Hard Rock's meetings and convention space allows us to satisfy the demand of our diversified customers who have had to look elsewhere in the past for groups larger than 600 people," Yale Rowe, senior vice president and general manager operations, said in a statement. "In town, you won't find a casino hotel that offers the extensive services and amenities of a successful meetings and convention destination, while still providing guests with the high-energy and entertaining environment they have come to know and love at the Hard Rock."
Adjacent to its new meeting space, the Hard Rock is adding 860 new guest rooms inside a 17-story hotel tower, called Paradise Tower.
