The Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown, a newly-built hotel in Charlotte, NC, has opened across from the Charlotte Convention Center and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. The property offers 250 two-room suites and 12,000 square feet of event space, including the 6,380-square-foot Uptown Ballroom and 294-square-foot Plaza Boardroom.
Set in the financial and arts center of Uptown Charlotte, the hotel is accessible to sporting events, theatre, restaurants, biking, city parks, shops, museums, and the Lynx Blue Line light rail station. The hotel is located seven miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
"This property allows guests to effortlessly experience and explore the best parts of the city," says Alan Roberts, global head, Embassy Suites by Hilton.
The hotel offers complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast, an evening reception, and free Wi-Fi. Restaurants and bars include the first-floor QC Lounge, a craft cocktail bar, a rooftop terrace called the Meck Deck, and Suki Akor, an Asian fusion restaurant.
The Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown is part of a hotel boom happening in the city. According to the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA), more than 8,367 new hotel rooms are currently in development in the region through 2020. In 2017 alone, 22 hotels with a total of 3,664 rooms are projected to open in the Charlotte region, with seven of those located in Center City.
