To attract more associations and nonprofits to Dubai, the city has signed a memorandum of understanding to launch the Dubai Association Centre (DAC), Dubai Tourism announced this week.
Under the agreement, DAC will help international nonprofit, professional associations and trade bodies establish operations in Dubai. Once established in the United Arab Emirates, associations will have access to the UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, as well those in the wider Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Further, associations that join DAC may open an office at the DWTC’s Sheikh Rashid Tower, affording them use of the complex’s numerous facilities; will be entitled to apply for residency visas for their employees; can open a local bank account; and will be able to offer services and products to the regional market.
