The Residence Inn Cincinnati Downtown, the first Marriott-branded hotel in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, has opened a pre-opening sales office so that it can begin booking extended stay and group contract business, its management company, Winegardner & Hammons Inc., announced this month.
Scheduled to open in April 2011, the hotel is a conversion of the historic Phelps building, which dates back to 1926. Upon opening, it will have 134 guest suites and two meeting rooms totaling 1,157 square feet, not to mention an onsite bar, fitness center and 24/7 convenience store.
"Downtown's Residence Inn finds a balance between the history and old-world splendor of a building in the city of Cincinnati and the modern styling of a first-class hotel," said General Manager David Meisner. "The downtown Cincinnati extended stay hotel is ideal for guests and a one-of-a-kind addition to the city."
