Doubletree Finishes $5.9 Million Upgrade in Lexington, Ky.

The Doubletree Guest Suites Lexington in Lexington, Ky., has completed a $5.9 million renovation to its guest suites and public spaces, its owner, Atlanta-based Hospitality Ventures, announced last week. According to the hotel, formerly the Sheraton Suites Lexington, the "top-to-bottom" upgrade encompassed each of the property's 155 suites, as well as its 5,000 square feet of meeting space—all while preserving the unique French Quarter theme for which the hotel has long been known.

"With our freshly upgraded property and the signature Hilton HHonors guest reward program, we believe we now offer Lexington's best overall hotel value for both business and leisure travelers," General Manager David Price said in a statement. "Our guests will notice the Doubletree difference from the moment they arrive in our renewed and refreshed hotel and get our legendary chocolate chip cookie as a special welcome upon check-in."

Located near downtown Lexington, the renovated Doubletree Guest Suites Lexington now features guest suites with new bedding, 37-inch flat-screen LCD HDTVs, redesigned bathrooms with oversized whirlpool bathtubs, new furnishings and wireless high-speed Internet access. It also features an expanded fitness center, a new business center with remote printers, a new gift shop, a renovated restaurant, a new outdoor dining patio and upgraded meeting spaces that have been adorned with new carpeting and new wall coverings.

Additionally, the hotel now features VIP Executive & Hospitality Suites with private conference areas.

"The Doubletree Guest Suites is the perfect size for small to medium meetings with all of the amenities that you would expect in a larger hotel," said Director of Sales & Marketing Joe Mitchell. "We are excited to be part of the Hilton family."
