DoubleTree Opens on Boston's North Shore

The former CoCo Key Water Resort Boston on Boston's North Shore is now the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore, the property's owner, The Lightstone Group, announced this fall. The hotel is Boston's fourth DoubleTree.

"As the tenth largest metropolitan area in the U.S., Greater Boston remains a top tier destination for both domestic and international travelers," said Rob Palleschi, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. "Since travelers to this destination have responded so well to the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, we are opening our fourth hotel in the area to meet the growing demand. Travelers vote with their reservations, and the DoubleTree by Hilton brand is a clear winner in Boston."

The property — which has 364 guest rooms and over 30,000 square feet of meeting space, not to mention a state-of-the-art fitness center and a 65,000-square-foot indoor water park — underwent a $10 million renovation as part of its brand conversion. Upgrades included a makeover of all guest rooms and public spaces, as well as the addition of an executive lounge and complimentary high-speed Internet service.

"DoubleTree Boston North Shore will be the premier business and event space in North Shore Boston — a place for everyone to come together, to conduct business, to socialize and to play," said Eric Marx, senior vice president, Lightstone Group. "We hope the hotel will be perceived as the 'guest house' of the community."
