Nik Wallenda, the famed daredevil, has taken a stunning walk along the spinning Orlando Eye, a 400-foot-tall observation wheel, without a safety net or tightrope pole. The Eye, the tallest observation wheel on the East Coast, opened on April 29 at I-Drive 360, a $200-million dollar entertainment complex featuring upscale dining, entertainment, and shopping.
A courtyard featuring flowing streams and a $1.5 million water show set to music, with color-changing lights, is a highlight of I-Drive 360, which is minutes from the Orange County Convention Center. The three centerpiece occupants of I-Drive 360 are the Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds wax museum -- another unique event venue -- and Sea Life Aquarium.
