Meetings technology company Cvent has introduced a newly upgraded version of its "Cvent Destination Guide" website, a destination-specific, free online travel guide for meeting planners that now features 6,000 pages of in-depth research on more than 600 destinations worldwide, it announced last week.
"Cvent has been working closely with our destination partners to make the Cvent Destination Guide the premier resource for meeting and event planners who are researching locations for their next event," said Eric Eden, Cvent's vice president of marketing. "As we continue to develop the guide to cover over 1,000 destinations by the end of this year, the new features and content on our site will greatly benefit planners and our destination partners around the world."
The new edition of the Cvent Destination Guide features:
• A new destination search function that allows planners to research destinations by type (e.g., beach, mountain, golf) and then narrow their search with criteria such as average hotel room rates, maximum exhibit space and average daily food costs for attendees;
• Enhanced linkage to the Cvent Supplier Network so that planners can more easily navigate between the two resources; and
• A new design that Cvent describes as a "sleek, modernized interface with increased functionality to simplify the planning process."
