Construction crews have completed exterior construction on the Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown and the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown, which are two of five Marriott-brand hotels that will ultimately open beneath a single roof as part of the new Marriott Place Indianapolis development in downtown Indianapolis, Marriott announced last week.
"We are on track with both of these properties, as well as the Fairfield Inn & Suites Indianapolis Downtown, to open in March 2010," Marriott Place Director of Sales and Marketing Cory Chambers said in a statement. "We'll be open and ready by the time the NCAA Final Four tournament begins in Indianapolis in 2010."
Along with the Courtyard, SpringHill Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites—all three of which will open in March 2010—Marriott Place Indianapolis will include a flagship JW Marriott hotel, scheduled to open in February 2011, and the pre-existing Marriott Indianapolis Downtown. Together, all five hotels will have 2,200 guest rooms and 145,000 square feet of meeting space.
"As each of these properties comes closer to completion, we invite meeting planners to take a look not just at Indianapolis as a destination, but at Marriott Place as the perfect venue," Chambers said. "We designed Marriott Place with planners in mind, and with the breadth of brands and meeting spaces we will offer, we have the flexibility to execute meetings, conventions and events of all sizes, at a variety of price points."
