Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau Elects New Chair

The executive board of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB) - formerly the Greater Hartford Convention & Visitors Bureau -- has elected longtime board member Paul O. Robertson as its new chair, it announced last week. He succeeds former chair Peter J. Berry, founder and senior advisor at association management firm Association Resources Inc., who completed a two-year tenure as CTCSB chair in June.

"Paul O. Robertson is an active supporter of our bureau's efforts to bring conventions, conferences, meetings, and sports events into our state," said CTCSB President H. Scott Phelps. "His knowledge of media, sales, and sports marketing has been invaluable as our organization builds new industry, business and community partnerships, and strengthens existing ones to fulfill our mission."

A former broadcasting executive, Robertson is now an independent management and sports consultant for media properties looking to develop sponsorship for broadcast, sports, and digital solutions.
