The former Hotel Blake in Chicago's historic Printers Row neighborhood is now the Wyndham Blake Chicago, Wyndham Hotels and Resorts announced this month.
Located in the restored 19th-century Morton building, the hotel has 162 guest rooms and 4,000 square feet of meeting space, as well as a 24-hour fitness center and an onsite restaurant, the acclaimed Custom House Tavern.
"Chicago is an extremely vibrant market that attracts business and leisure travelers from around the world for both short trips and extended stays," said Jeff Wagoner, president of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. "We are proud to welcome the Wyndham Blake Chicago to the Wyndham family and expand our portfolio in this key travel hub. Guests will enjoy an intimate, luxurious setting and personalized services in this downtown landmark."
As a Wyndham property, the hotel will now offer signature brand elements, including Wyndham's guest recognition program, which provides perks such as complimentary high-speed Internet access and welcome amenities.
"Our decision to have Hotel Blake join the Wyndham family of hotels was to expand our international consumer base and to enhance the guest experience with a phenomenal loyalty program and amenity package," said Jerome Cataldo, president of Hostmark Hospitality Group, which manages the property. "Becoming part of the Wyndham brand adds long-term, overall value to the asset."
The Wyndham Blake Chicago is the second Wyndham hotel in downtown Chicago, joining its sister property, the Wyndham Chicago in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood.
