The Chicago Marriott Lincolnshire Resort in Lincolnshire, IL, has completed a $25 million renovation encompassing "nearly every aspect of the resort," the 42-year-old property announced last week.
Located approximately 30 miles north of Chicago, on the city's North Shore, the resort originally opened in 1975 and occupies 175 acres. It has 389 guest rooms and suites -- each of which has received a top-to-bottom makeover -- and 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including the new Lakeside Pavilion, a 5,000-square-foot venue with space for up to 400 seated guests, as well as a 2,500-square-foot adjoining outdoor patio.
Along with updated guest rooms and new event space, the renovation included the introduction of two new restaurants, including a signature restaurant specializing in locally sourced Midwest cuisine and a casual eatery serving local craft beer and bistro-style food; the opening of a new men's and women's day spa; a new Marriott Greatroom lobby and new Marriott M Club Lounge; a new full-service onsite Starbucks; and, finally, a new contemporary porte cochére entrance.

"We've married the sophistication of the Marriott brand with local, personalized touches. Everything has been transformed, from convenient tech upgrades, to the guest rooms and Great Room lobby, from adding two destination-worthy restaurants, and a luxurious day spa. We're very proud of the strides we've taken to accommodate today's modern travelers and resort guests."
Award-winning design firm The Gettys Group oversaw the project's design.
