CheapHotels.org Names Top 20 Most Expensive Caribbean Destinations

The third largest of the British Virgin Islands, Virgin Gorda, is the Caribbean’s most expensive destination in terms of lodging costs, according to CheapHotels.org, which conducted a price comparison during the Caribbean’s high travel season — January to April 2013 — in order to generate a list of the region’s top 20 most expensive destinations.

An overnight stay in Virgin Gorda during the peak travel season cost an average of $321, according to CheapHotels.org, which only considered three-, four- and five-star hotels and resorts in its analysis.

Rounding out the top three were Anguilla and St. Barts, with average rates of $315 and $295, respectively.
