Charlotte's New Ritz-Carlton Previews Biz Travel Amenities

The new, 146-room Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, opening next month in Charlotte's Uptown neighborhood, has announced a slew of amenities designed especially for business travelers.

Previewed earlier this month, the amenities—designed to give guests a desirable work-life balance—will include:

• Fully-equipped private offices for complimentary use by hotel guests; located on the hotel's executive floor, they'll be outfitted with computers and printers, office supplies, teleconferencing equipment, copy/fax machine access and more.

• An exclusive "Travel Lite" program that will allow hotel guests to order from a menu of toiletries upon check-in—or online prior to arrival—for immediate in-room delivery, eliminating the hassle of traveling with liquids in TSA-approved plastic bags.

• A "Desktop-on-Demand" program that allows guests to ask that business essentials—including a wireless printer, office supplies, cables, keyboards, paper, etc.—be delivered to their room.

• In-room "electronic jack-packs" that can accommodate a variety of charger connectors.

• Luggage-Less Travel, which is designed for regular guests who stay a minimum of four nights per month and can therefore check in clothing and personal items at the end of their stay, for pick-up upon their next arrival.

• Complimentary in-town transportation, which will include weekday morning transfer service to businesses and commercial activities within Charlotte's I-277 loop.

"Knowing how stressful travel can be, we hope to lighten the load for those who conduct their business on the road and in the air," General Manager David Rothwell said in a statement. "We are committed to helping guests of The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte minimize hassle and maximize balance during their stay."

The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte is currently scheduled to open on Oct. 1, 2009. For more information, visit www.ritzcarlton.com.
