The Charlotte Marriott City Center in downtown Charlotte, N.C., has completed a $10 million transformation of its 438 guest rooms, it recently announced.
Designed to be "state-of-the-art personal comfort zones," the hotel's refurbished guest rooms feature new decor, bedding, 37-inch flat-screen televisions, iPod-compatible alarm clocks, and access to a new high-speed wired and wireless Internet system.
"We are so excited to share the results of this extraordinary makeover with our guests," Assistant General Manager Gary Oikemus said in a statement. "The renovations add a new dimension of comfort and style to a hotel that is already a favorite of business and leisure travelers alike."
According to Oikemus, the hotel's refurbished guest rooms also make it a more attractive destination for meetings in its 20,000 square feet of meeting space. "With this renovation now complete, we offer planners an unbeatable combination of comfort and convenience," he said, "along with a team of meeting professionals who are well-trained in the art of exceeding expectations for groups of all sizes."
