Phoenix's Camby Hotel to Open Next Month

The former Ritz-Carlton Phoenix in Arizona will reopen as The Camby Hotel next month. Located near the city's iconic Camelback Mountain, the 277-room property is owned by Host Hotels & Resorts and will be the first Arizona hotel in Marriott's Autograph Collection.

The Camby Hotel will offer a restaurant, two bars, a rooftop pool, spa, and a fitness center, as well as 20,000 square feet of meeting space.

The design of the property incorporates "Arizona's Five C's" -- cotton, cattle, citrus, climate, and copper -- and pairs classic elements like marble and columns with bold color and modern flair. Another touch of the modern will be the check-in process, in which guests are greeted in the lobby by a roving concierge rather than one behind a desk; instead of a physical key, guests' smartphones will open their room doors.

"We're proud to announce the opening of The Camby Hotel and look forward to welcoming out-of-town visitors and locals to our luxury lifestyle hotel," says Greg Miller, chief inspiration officer of The Camby Hotel. "In addition to stunning design details found throughout the hotel, we've thoughtfully amplified the dining, fitness, and wellness offerings for travelers and Phoenicians to enjoy."

Guests can explore the Camelback Mountain's scenic hiking trails, convenient access to the city's best restaurants, and upscale shopping at the nearby Biltmore Fashion Park. The Camby Hotel is located in close proximity to the financial district.

Reservations will start being accepted this month.
