California's Pechanga Resort & Casino Plans Major Renovation

The country’s third-largest casino resort, Penchanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., has commenced work on a multi-million dollar renovation encompassing its lobby, its VIP check-in lounge, three of its restaurants, its rooftop nightclub and its retail store, it announced yesterday.

Penchanga, which has 517 guest rooms and more than 52,000 square feet of meeting space, opened in 2002 and subsequently received the AAA Four-Diamond award. It expects to debut its renovated spaces — which will be closed during construction — by the end of this year.

“The property is now a little over 10 years old and it is time for a renovation of our grand entry and some of the restaurants,” says Pechanga Development Corp. President Patrick Murphy. “Quality has always been a cornerstone of our success and we are always looking at giving our guests the very best experience possible. The new look will be elegant, timeless and will still convey the importance and use of natural elements for the Pechanga people.”
