Hoping to generate buzz for Northwest Arkansas, the Bentonville Convention and Visitors Bureau in Bentonville, Ark., has introduced a new "Hometown Host" program that will recognize area residents, organizations and businesses that bring tourism capital and media attention to Bentonville, local newspaper
The Benton County Daily Record recently reported.
As part of the program—which will encourage local and state businesses to make Bentonville a destination for sporting events, national conferences, tour groups and corporate meetings—the Bentonville CVB will present the following Hometown Host awards this week in honor of National Travel and Tourism Week, according to the
Daily Record:
• Hometown Hospitality Hero of the Year, given to an individual or team that invites or hosts a large group of visitors to the Bentonville area.
• Guest Service Provider of the Year, given to the individual, staff or team that consistently provides exceptional guest and customer service.
• Corporate Partner of the Year, given to a company that facilitates tourism in Bentonville.
• Hospitality Partner of the Year, given to a hotel, restaurant, attraction, association or retail business that provides services to the visiting public.
