The Boston Marriott Burlington in Burlington, MA, has completed the final phase of a multimillion-dollar, 18-month renovation encompassing its meeting space, fitness facilities, and lobby, it announced yesterday.
Post-renovation, the 419-room hotel now has Marriott's signature "Greatroom" -- a community space that includes a large fireplace, a 14-personal communal table, a large U-shaped bar, charging stations, and media pods for casual meetings -- instead of a traditional lobby.
Additionally, it now has 14,570 square feet of meeting space, including three new meeting rooms. Its existing meeting rooms, meanwhile -- including its 9,000-square-foot ballroom -- have been updated with technological enhancements.
Finally, the hotel has updated its fitness and recreation facilities by adding new cardio and weightlifting equipment in its fitness center, resurfacing and re-tiling its indoor pool, and adding a new deck area to its heated outdoor pool.
"The Boston Marriott Burlington now has the ability to accommodate a wide range of corporate and private events," General Manager Tim Brett said in a statement. "The newly updated meeting space can now accommodate the most cutting-edge business presentation -- a major draw for Burlington's booming tech sector. In addition, our versatile private function rooms are ideal for celebrations of all kinds and sizes, from intimate gatherings to large weddings."
The hotel's renovation commenced in July 2013 and concluded in December 2014.
