Hyatt has opened its first Andaz hotel in New York City with the Andaz Wall Street. The property, which has 253 guest rooms and nearly 6,000 square feet of meeting space, is the only hotel situated on Wall Street itself.
Desiged by David Rockwell and the Rockwell Group, the 13-floor hotel features an onsite restaurant—the Wall & Water restaurant, which houses a chef's table, an open kitchen and private dining—a bar, a gym and a spa.
The hotel's meeting space, called the Andaz Studio, includes five distinct meeting rooms—or "Studio" spaces—that offer a "home-like ambiance with comfortable, residential style furniture." The Andaz Studio’s highlight, according to the hotel, is a communal kitchen where chefs create fresh, cooked-to-order fare while interacting with guests during meeting breaks or meals.
Hyatt's newest brand, Andaz is devoted to "simplified, spot-on service and indulgent amenities." Andaz Wall Street is the brand's third location—after Andaz Liverpool Street in London and Andaz West Hollywood in California—and its first in New York. A second New York hotel, Andaz 5th Avenue, is slated to open later this year.
