Ahead of Opening, Omni Nashville Books 250,000 Room Nights

Although it won’t open until this fall, Music City’s new convention hotel — the Omni Nashville Hotel — already has booked more than 250,000 definite room nights, comprised of more than 190 meetings and conventions contracted through 2024, it announced last week.

According to Omni, the quarter-of-a-million milestone was achieved approximately four months ahead of schedule.

“This milestone … reinforces that there is strong local, regional and national interest from meeting and event planners in the Music City,” reads a news release from the company, which said the 250,000th booking belonged to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2015 Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo, taking place in Nashville in October 2015.

Upon completion, the Omni Nashville will have 800 guest rooms and more than 80,000 square feet of meeting space. Connected on four levels to a 200,000-square-foot expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum — allowing the two facilities to share meeting and entertainment space — it’s will include a rooftop terrace and at least four restaurants, as well as retail space, a pool, a fitness center and a spa.

The hotel began accepting reservations from individual travelers today for stays beginning Oct. 1, 2013.
