After Long Absence, Ritz-Carlton Plans Return to Australia

The property — the brand’s first in Australia since 2001, when it closed the Ritz-Carlton Double Bay in Sydney — will have 204 guest rooms, ground-floor retail space, waterfront dining experiences, and luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

“We are delighted to make our return to Australia, bringing our legendary services to Perth,” Ritz-Carlton President and Chief Operations Officer Herve Humler said in a statement. “We have listened to our guests who have a strong desire to stay with us when the travel to this beautiful destination in Western Australia. We have great partners … and look forward to opening this incredible hotel in 2018.”
