In order to promote one of its members, the Resort Collection of Colonial Williamsburg, Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has announced that it will give away a 1-carat diamond solitaire necklace named for the collection — "The Colonial Williamsburg Hotels Diamond" — at Holiday Showcase 2011, taking place Dec. 15, 2011, in Chicago.
"We encourage all of the association executives and meeting professionals who can use ALHI's exceptional and distinctive member hotels and resorts for their programs to visit the 'ALHI Luxury Lane' at Holiday Showcase," said ALHI President and CEO David Gabri. "The diamond giveaway is a fun way to showcase our Four- and Five-Diamond portfolio, and for planners to learn about exceptional options and values available at The Colonial Williamsburg Hotels and other ALHI member hotels and resorts worldwide."
Organized by the Association Forum of Chicagoland — which is Chicago's "association of associations," representing approximately 3,000 members from nearly 2,000 membership organizations — Holiday Showcase is the largest business services and meeting sites exposition in the Midwest. At its booth there, called "Luxury Lane," ALHI plans to market and sell meeting space from more than 125 Four- and Five-Diamond hotels and resorts, which collectively offer more than 100,000 guest rooms and over 10 million square feet of meeting space.
The Resort Collection of Colonial Williamsburg offers 53 meeting rooms, with a total of 67,000 square feet of comfortable meeting space that can accommodate groups up to 1,300. It features a total of 1,051 guest rooms and suites at three properties: The Williamsburg Inn, The Williamsburg Lodge and The Williamsburg Woodlands. Additional offerings include 10 restaurants, the 45-hole Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, The Spa at Colonial Williamsburg, tennis and swimming. The hotels are located 2.5 hours south of Washington, D.C., and are serviced by three international airports (Richmond, Norfolk and Newport News/Williamsburg).
