Center Swan Fountain

The Atlanta History Center is not your ordinary museum, as its historic homes, wooded trails, and sprawling gardens are set on 32 acres. Founded in 1926, the center features the Atlanta History Museum as well as the Margaret Mitchell House where the Pulitzer Prize--winning novelist wrote Gone With the Wind.

The Center for Puppetry Arts is one of few museums that focuses on the art of puppetry. Highlights include the Jim Henson Collection, where icons Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy reside, and the Global Collection, which showcases puppetry around the world.

Treat your group to contemporary Southern cuisine with a sophisticated twist at South City Kitchen, set in a restored historic bungalow.

The spring is a great time to take in the magnificent colors abloom at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The Fuqua Orchid Center here is one of the best in the country, and the outdoor collection includes an edible garden, a rose garden, a hydrangea feature, and a Japanese garden. Dale Chihuly's Parterre Fountain Installation is one of several artworks.

The centerpiece of the 1996 Summer Olympics, Centennial Olympic Park is going for the gold with a $27 million renovation that will include a new pedestrian gateway and the addition of 800 seats to its amphitheater. Arrange for your group to be at the Fountain of Rings, the world's largest interactive fountain to incorporate the Olympic Rings, when it comes to life with sound and lighting effects.

Elevate your group as they enjoy SkyView Atlanta and its panoramic views of downtown Atlanta. There are 42 climate-controlled gondolas that climb 20 stories into the air, not to mention a VIP option, with Ferrari-style seats and a glass floor.

CNN Studio Tours offer behind-the-scenes, hands-on experiences of the world's first 24-hour news network. The ins and outs of what goes into a live broadcast are explained, as well as what it takes to broadcast to viewers all over the world. An interesting feature in the building is the world's longest and largest freestanding escalator.

Just as a Porsche is no ordinary car, the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta is no ordinary venue. Attendees can select the model of their choice and get out on the track, spending 90 minutes behind the wheel of one of these luxury driving machines, a rush of adrenalin and endorphins guaranteed. Last year, the 214-room Solis Two Porsche Drive, which includes 6,500 square feet of event space, a 3,600-square-foot ballroom, and rooftop lounge, opened next to the Porsche Experience Center.
