When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. Along those lines, the Huffington Post has found 10 airports with great food, shopping and other amenities to make your next layover pain-free.
1. Amsterdam Schipol International Airport
Art lovers rejoice, there's a free branch of the national Rijksmuseum right inside this international airport.
2. Singapore Changi International Airport
This supersized airport just might be the airport of the future: you'll find gardens complete with koi ponds as well as a live butterfly garden with a 20-foot waterfall, not to mention free movie theaters.
3. San Francisco International Airport
Looking for a little peace and quiet? This airport has its very own in-terminal yoga studio.
4. Munich Airport Centre
Traveling during the holidays can be stressful, but visitors to Munich will be treated to a traditional Christmas market complete with an outdoor ice skating rink.
5. Dubai International Airport
This ultramodern hub offers a little bit of everything: duty-free shopping, a gym and pool for pre-flight workouts, and even a tranquil Zen garden.
6. Incheon Airport, Seoul, South Korea
This massive airport is one of the world's 10 busiest. Fortunately Incheon offers a spa, internet lounges, children’s play areas, and even an enormous golf course to amuse its teeming masses.
7. London Heathrow Airport
There are many luxury boutiques at Heathrow, not to mention an 11,000-square-foot branch of the famous Harrods department store in Terminal 3.
8. Vancouver International Airport
This beautiful airport features its own branch of the Vancouver aquarium. There's a 31,000-gallon tank inhabited by over 5,000 members of British Columbian sea life as well as a smaller tank housing jellyfish.
9. John F. Kennedy International Airport
The gorgeous Terminal 5 is an increasingly hot dining spot for international travelers. There's free Wi-Fi, 24 food and beverage outlets, and 27 retail shops.
10. Hong Kong International Airport
Hong Kong International has plenty of shopping and a 9-hole golf course, but we're most excited about the IMAX movie theater.
