The Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort in Nassau, The Bahamas, will give guests a free night on their next visit to the resort when they leave behind their winter coat, it announced last month. Part of a "Warm Coats Warm Hearts" drive benefiting the nonprofit One Warm Coat organization, the offer is good through March 19, 2009, which is the last day of winter.
"This winter we expect a lot of northerners to hit the warm, sunny beaches of Nassau to escape the cold," Director of Sales and Marketing Andrew Neubauer said in a statement, "and we are happy to take those bulky coats off our guests' hands and donate them towards such a good cause, not to mention they won't need them in Nassau!"
Upon check-in, guests staying at the Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort will have the option to leave their winter coat with a guest service agent, and—if they wish—to record a video message about their coat to send to One Warm Coat.
Upon donating their coat, guests will automatically receive a voucher—there is a two-voucher limit per room—good for one free night on their next visit to the resort. Donated coats will be shipped to One Warm Coat, which provides warm coats to people in need, free of charge.
