Orlando's Rosen Shingle Creek hotel has created a money-saving meetings package for groups that are feeling the crunch of high gas prices.
Groups that cash in on the "Super Premium Meetings at Low Grade Prices" package will enjoy a single/double occupancy room rate of $139, plus tax, per night, as well as an $8 per room night gas rebate.
The package also includes complimentary self parking, high-speed Internet access in all guestrooms and fitness center access for each guest, as well as a complimentary coffee break each day for the staff office—up to 10 people—and upgraded floor-length table linens for each of the group's food events. Finally, all meeting attendees receive a 25 percent discount on golf at the hotel's 18-hole course, on services at its spa and on individual meals at its restaurants.
For additional fees, the hotel is offering the following group services:
* Banquet and beverage service ($99 per person per day): Guests receive continental breakfast, one-hour buffet lunch and a 15-minute afternoon beverage break with snack.
* One-hour reception ($49 per person): Attendees receive two cold display items, three hot and three cold items selected by the hotel, and hotel selected beverages. Planners can add a live DJ for $99, a coach-directed fitness stretch break for $200 and additional food and beverage 25 percent off of current menu pricing.
The "Super Premium Meetings at Low Grade Prices" package is not valid on meetings booked prior to June 4, 2008, and is available only on the following 2008 dates:
