Because it says the British pound is at a 16-year low compared to the U.S. dollar, Radisson Edwardian is offering a special "10 for 9" promotion to groups that meet at any of its 13 London properties.
Valid for meetings that are booked by April 30 and actualized by Dec. 31, 2009, the promotion applies to two packages: the Daily Delegate Package, which includes unlimited tea and coffee, mineral water, wireless Internet access and a three-course lunch per attendee; and the 24-Hour Delegate Package, which includes all the amenities of the Daily Delegate Package, plus accommodation, breakfast and a three-course dinner per attendee.
Regardless of which package they book, planners pay for only nine of every 10 attendees.
"There's never been a better time for American companies to host a meeting in London," Radisson Edwardian's Director of Marketing Linda Plant said in a statement. "Not only does the pound-dollar exchange rate offer tremendous value, but our hotels' special promotion offers planners a way to cut costs rather than corners."
Radisson Edwardian currently has 13 properties in London, including its signature May Fair Hotel, which together offer more than 130 meeting and event spaces.
