MEETING PACKAGE: Hilton New Orleans Riverside Announces Perks for Planners, Community

The 1,622-room Hilton New Orleans Riverside hotel, located adjacent to the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, has announced plans to offer meeting planners a "blank canvas to illustrate and paint the perfect meeting for their attendees." Available to planners booking and actualizing a meeting with at least 1,500 room nights before Dec. 31, 2010, the so-called "canvas" includes a variety of incentives and extras designed to benefit both groups and the New Orleans community.

"We want to continue to help our community rebuild, while at the same time provide the incentive and extra value that meeting planners, attendees and their companies are looking for as part of the 'corporate social responsibility' plan," said Marketing Director Eric Janecke. "By providing them with a canvas of ideas, they can create their own masterpiece, give back to the community and provide value to their constituents."

As part of its meeting package, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside has partnered with USA Hosts, PSAV and GES Exposition Services in order to give groups discounts on catering prices, signage, audio/visual services and Internet access. In addition, the hotel is offering groups that participate in community service projects 200,000 Hilton honors points that they can donate to their favorite charity, to which Host USA will donate $1,000 for every $25,000 spent.

Finally, the Hilton New Orleans Riverside has commissioned local artist Reggie Ford to provide each attendee in qualifying groups with a piece of New Orleans-inspired art to take home with them.
