Chicago's Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers has announced a new meeting package that it says will help planners go a different kind of green. That is, instead of saving the planet, the hotel is encouraging planners to "go green" by saving money, which it's helping them do with a choice of either free coffee, free Internet or free parking.
When they book prior to Dec. 15, 2008, meetings of up to 130 rooms will have the choice of a free mid-morning coffee break, complimentary high-speed meeting room Internet access or free valet parking for all attendees.
Designed to help planners cope with increasingly strict budget constraints, the Sheraton Chicago's value-added incentives are available to groups who actualize their meetings on peak nights for two nights or more between January and May 2009.
The Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers offers 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 40,000-square-foot ballroom—the largest hotel ballroom in the Midwest—34 breakout rooms and a 35,000-square-foot exhibit hall. Additionally, it features a 3,800-square-foot executive conference center for small meetings.
