Florida's Amelia Island Plantation, which is located 29 miles northeast of Jacksonville, has announced two new group offers, as well as a new attrition-free meeting policy for associations, designed to make meetings more affordable at the AAA Four Diamond island resort.
The first offer—which is available to groups booking a minimum of 20 rooms per night for a minimum of two nights between Jan. 2 and April 10, 2009—includes the following amenities:
• Complimentary airport transportation
• Complimentary recreation for one group activity
• Complimentary welcome reception with beer, wine and appetizers
• 25 percent off audio/visual equipment rental
• 25 percent off golf green fees for group tee times
The second offer, meanwhile—which is available to groups booking a minimum of 40 rooms per night for a minimum of two nights on select dates in January, February and March 2009—includes free accommodations with the purchase of a daily full-American meal plan. Starting at $245 per person, the meal plan includes a plated or continental breakfast, a plated or boxed lunch, and a plated dinner.
Finally, Amelia Island Plantation has announced a new attrition-free policy for associations that frees them from worrying about contractual room block obligations, provided that they've got good past performance with other properties.
