The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa in Honolulu is offering two philanthropy-themed packages for travelers who want to save money in 2009 while also giving back to the local community.
The first package, called the "Lokahi" package—named for the Hawaiian word that means "to do something in peace and unity"—is available through Dec. 26, 2009, for $244. It includes accommodations and daily breakfast for two, as well as a $44 donation to the Waikiki Community Center, which supports and provides affordable daycare for children, activities for senior citizens and more.
The second package, the "Travel Pink Travel O'ahu" package, is available through Dec. 31, 2009, and starts at $1,900. It includes four nights of accommodations, personal concierge service, complimentary continental breakfast, afternoon beverages and snacks, complimentary cocktails and appetizers in the evening, a 50-minute massage per person and a $100 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which supports breast cancer awareness, education and assistance.
