Florida's Rosen Hotels Invites Planners to Propose Their Own Rates

In honor of its 35th anniversary, Florida's largest independent hotelier, Rosen Hotels & Resorts, has created a virtual cocktail napkin on which it's encouraging meeting planners to propose their own nightly room rate.

Available to groups booking meetings at Rosen Plaza, Rosen Centre or Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, the offer is a tribute to old-fashioned "cocktail napkin contracts" and "gentlemen's agreements." Good for meetings actualized by Dec. 28, 2009, it is available by visiting a special Web site where planners fill in their name, phone number, date of travel, group size and proposed rate.

According to the hotel, it "will make every effort to honor reasonable rate proposals."
