Fairmont Set to Begin Renovations at Properties in Kenya - 2006-09-22

The brand is set to begin a $35 million renovation program to its resorts and safari lodges in Kenya. The renovation will add modern amenities such as high-speed and wireless Internet access.

At The Norfolk in Nairobi plans include extensive guestroom renovations, restaurant enhancements and some fine-tuning to the resort’s meeting and public spaces. Nearby, the Mount Kenya Safari Club will undergo similar upgrades to the complex’s exterior and grounds, guestrooms, and food and beverage offerings. Following renovations, the properties will be rebranded under the Fairmont flag in late 2007.
