Hilton Worldwide has recognized The Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel, as its 2012 “Hotel of the Year,” the hotel announced yesterday.

The distinction was awarded based on “exceptional overall achievement” in key performance indicators within Hilton’s performance measurement system, which tracks the productivity of each Hilton-brand hotel with value drivers for operational effectiveness, revenue maximization, operations, customer loyalty, and team member learning and growth. The Roosevelt New Orleans — which was built in 1893 and offers 504 guest rooms and more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space — achieved 100 percent in all key areas.

“For more than a century, the Roosevelt has been one of the foremost symbols of New Orleans’ famous and passionate hospitality,” says Tim Benolken, senior vice president, Hilton Worldwide. “It is a thrill to recognize [the hotel’s staff] for their exceptional work and dedication to creating memorable experiences by combining a colorful local flavor with global sophistication.”
