The Langham, Boston has completed a $6 million renovation in Boston's financial district, it announced last week.

The centerpiece of the renovation is a new 6,000-square-foot lobby that includes "an open, contemporary floor plan with a dramatic entrance, welcoming concierge center, stylish reception area and European-style champagne lounge."

The hotel's new champagne lounge, called The Reserve, serves "nibbles, light entrees and desserts," along with a "worldly selection" of champagne, wine and beer. Beginning in December, it also will serve Langham Hospitality Group's signature traditional British Tiffin Afternoon Tea.

"The Langham, Boston is a timeless hotel with great historical significance to the city," said Serge Denis, the hotel's managing director. "With the transformation of our lobby, we worked to preserve that history, blending modern and classic elements to create a visually stunning grand entrance that is the perfect complement to our sophisticated meeting and event space."

The hotel's renovation also included the addition of the Grant Room, a 525-square-foot function space featuring "ample lighting, elegant colors, a lavish chandelier and a full audio/visual system complete with 62-inch HDTV."

With the addition of the Grant Room, the 318-room hotel now offers 10 meeting rooms totaling over 10,000 square feet.
