If you're interested in travel, however, you also should be following your favorite destinations, according to Betsy Decillis, principal of Betsy A. Decillis Consulting LLC. Co-founder of #tourismchat, a bimonthly Twitter chat focused on social media in the tourism industry, Decillis compiled the following list of "must-follow" destination marketing organizations (DMOs):

New York State's Finger Lakes Visitors Connection has nearly 6,000 followers on Twitter.

Positively Cleveland has nearly 26,000 followers on Twitter.
