"Technology is coming like a freight train."

That is how Lawrence Coburn, cofounder and CEO of event app creator DoubleDutch, introduced his presentation on "The Rise of Live Engagement Marketing" at Northstar Meetings Group's Destination Caribbean event in Aruba this week. Coburn's talk covered how the most effective events -- from the perspective of hosts, sponsors, suppliers, and attendees -- are those that combine both live elements and digital ones.
