In order to help its member properties market themselves to young professionals, the U.S. chapter of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC-Americas) has named 23-year-old Anthony Kubanin as its seventh board associate, it announced yesterday.

Kubanin, who is the organization’s youngest board associate to date, currently serves as information technology analyst at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in Toronto. One among many candidates under the age of 30 who were nominated by IACC member properties in the United States and Canada, his role will be representing Generations X and Y on the IACC-Americas board of directors, with a focus on identifying and advising the board on emerging trends.

“We were thrilled with the quality of applications we received this year, and Anthony Kubanin really stood out as someone with passion and vision who could build on the great work of those who have held this coveted position before him,” IACC-Americas President T.J. Fimmano said in a statement.
