With the help of private investors, three senior incentive executives -- Bob Miller (pictured center), former president and CEO of Excellence in Motivation (EIM); John Keman (left), former CFO of EIM; and Fred Sammet (right), former CIO at Aimia US
-- have acquired the channel and employee engagement business of Aimia, one of the country's largest incentive and loyalty firms, the trio announced last week.
Aimia was formed after one of the country's first and largest incentive and loyalty firms, Carlson Marketing, was purchased in 2009 by Canadian firm Groupe Aeroplan. In 2012, a year after Carlson Marketing was renamed Aimia, the firm purchased EIM, a sizable competitor.
Comprising Aimia's Proprietary Loyalty U.S. Business and its Canada Meetings & Events Group, the firm is the scaffolding for a new company called One10X
that plans to take a holistic approach to channel and employee engagement by leveraging six core competencies in tandem:• Meetings & Events:
One10X will provide end-to-end planning and delivery of meetings, events, and conferences.• Incentives & Recognition:
One10X will design programs to motivate employees and channel partners.• Training & Performance Improvement:
One10X will design and deliver training and learning support.• Communications:
One10X will develop creative content in any media.• Data Management & Analytics:
One10X will handle and interpret data to inform business strategy.• Strategic Planning:
One10X will develop business, communications, and product launch plans and associated tactics.
"At One10x, we believe that one well-informed and inspired individual or team can produce results with a multiplier effect," said Miller, who will serve as president and CEO of One10X. "When we provide our clients with cohesive communications, training, incentives, and events that align interests, they feel a greater sense of connection and engagement surges. When engagement improves, business results follow in tandem."
