Thanks to a new partnership with the International Medical Meeting Professionals Association (IMMPA), the next edition of the Americas Incentive, Business Travel & Meetings Exhibition (AIBTM) will offer show attendees the option to enroll in IMMPA’s Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate Program, organizer Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) announced today.

A new program offered by IMMPA and Saint Louis University’s Workforce Center, the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate Program is awarded to individuals who successfully complete a course that teaches the fundamentals of planning a medical meeting, including basic information about U.S. and global health care regulations and laws, the various types of health care meetings, and medical meeting risks and liabilities.

“AIBTM is thrilled to announce this first-time partnership with IMMPA,” AIBTM Exhibition Director Michael Lyons said in a statement. “Health care remains one of the largest industries today, and those who attend AIBTM 2014 will benefit greatly with the opportunity to enhance their professional development through IMMPA’s Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate.”

AIBTM 2014 is taking place June 10-14 in Orlando. IMMPA’s Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate Program will be offered at a 50 percent discount to AIBTM attendees on June 9.

“We are very pleased to partner with AIBTM to bring the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate to attendees and extend our reach,” said IMMPA Founder Pat Schaumann. “This partnership will bring many benefits to AIBTM attendees as well as our membership.”
