Meeting technology company QuickMobile has appointed David Smith as its new CEO. A technology veteran, Smith most recently was CEO at Elix Wireless Charging Systems and previously held executive leadership positions at Nortel Networks and Pitney Bowes.
"Bringing David on at this point in time is core to QuickMobile's strategy for expanding its mobile enterprise meeting and events platform," said QuickMobile Board Chairman Steve Munford. "In addition to being an innovative visionary and results-driven leader, David has a proven track record in leading organizations to the next level of success."

Said Smith, "The company's product vision, track record with the Fortune 500 companies, and unique mobile-first culture impressed me. QuickMobile is moving to capitalize on the profound changes taking place in the enterprise. As companies hone their strategy around mobile and data analytics, they are revolutionizing the way they operate, including all the ways they gather together to keep the business moving forward. I'm thrilled to help take QuickMobile to the next level of success and I look forward to leading the team and our partners to accelerate efforts and continue to be a force in our industry."

Smith replaces previous QuickMobile CEO Craig Brennan, who took over in January and is leaving Vancouver-based QuickMobile to return to his native California.
