Event management firm Experient has introduced Engage, a mobile event platform that integrates the company's registration, housing, lead retrieval and data management services into a single platform for planners', attendees' and exhibitors' mobile devices, it announced yesterday.

Experient, a Maritz Travel company, launched engage last month at the International Association of Exhibitions and Events' (IAEE) Expo! Expo! annual meeting.

"This is the only mobile event platform in the industry that provides the show organizer, the attendee and the exhibitor with a complete mobile event experience," said Shawn Pierce, president of Experient's Registration and Housing division. "The value to the show organizer is in the data, collected through attendee and exhibitor use, as Engage is the base for all interactions between stakeholders and the event."

Experient also announced yesterday that all of its registration and housing websites will become "responsive" — meaning that the sites will automatically recognize whether the user is accessing them on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone, then optimize the content appropriately.

"Once again, Experient is out in front of technology and usability," said Cindy Sample, operations director for Nielsen Expositions, an Experient customer. "Having only one platform to manage could save us time and be much more efficient. This technology is exactly what we want and need for our customers."
