Because they're heavily regulated, medical meetings are among the most challenging type of event for meeting planners to execute. To make them a little bit easier to manage, meeting, incentive, and event agency Bishop-McCann has launched a new solution designed to streamline the compliance aspect of planning them, it announced yesterday.

"We are excited to bring our clients to the forefront of compliance technology," said Bishop-McCann Account Director Amber Heintz, CMP-HC, HMCC. "We understand how significant and sensitive this portion of the program is to our clients. It is equally important to us that they have solid trust in Bishop-McCann to deliver a flawless and compliant meeting. Our client's confidence is our priority."

Called the Bishop-McCann Event Healthcare Solution, the new offering has three principal components:

The first, compliance and expense management, consolidates health care practitioner (HCP) expense capture and event data to create a compliance report that planners can easily upload into their company's compliance reporting system. It incorporates Sign4Compliance, an iPad app and web portal that planners can use to collect required event attendance data.

The second, known as the Bishop-McCann HCP Certified Team, is a human resource encompassing Bishop-McCann's team of meeting professionals who have obtained Meeting Professionals International's (MPI's) Healthcare Meetings Compliance Certificate (HMCC) and the Events Industry Council's (EIC's) Certified Meeting Professional - Health Care (CMP-HC) certification.

The third, the Bishop-McCann Speakers Division, connects planners with health care and business speakers who belong to the firm's in-house speakers bureau.
